Our Story

The beginnings

Many small businesses start off with a strong concept, comprehensive market analysis, and a well-crafted business strategy. Cornerstone Press + Studio was founded by two friends from Calgary, Alberta who shared a passion for spending time together and for design. We realized we wanted to create a reason to meet more often, but we were uncertain about the exact focus. After tossing around various ideas, we converged on the concept of stationery. When we discovered letterpress printing in 2022, we unanimously decided that vintage printing was the direction we wanted to pursue.

Thus, we acquired an old, worn-out Chandler + Price press, renovated Amanda's garage into a studio, learned the craft from the ground up, and poured our passion into creating. Today, our letterpress studio is more than a business. It’s the place where our love for design, our obsession with quality, and our joy in working side by side come together—one hand-pressed print at a time.

Hannah is a mom of three with a natural gift for curating beauty in all its forms. A true lover of paper and color, she brings an artist’s eye to everything she touches. Hannah is also a gifted interior designer with several large commercial and residential projects under her belt. Her warmth and ease as a communicator, paired with her exceptional customer service skills, make every interaction feel personal and effortless.

Amanda is a mom of two, and a seasoned graphic designer with over 15 years of experience. She blends creativity with a deep love of learning—both in her work and at home. Driven by curiosity and a passion for excellence, Amanda brings a unique blend of artistry, storytelling, and heart to everything she does.
